Tim Tebow Is Earning A Lot Of Respect From People

November 18th 2011 21:16
Tim Tebow has taken a lot of flak from people in his brief NFL career, and I am one of those who has given him a hard time. Tebow though has earned my respect after his exploits against the New York Jets. He drove the Broncos 95 yards and scored on a 20 yard run to give the Denver Broncos a 17-13 win. Tebow did not have the best numbers in the world, but a win is a win.

I thought Tim Tebow was a wasted pick for the Denver Broncos, but he has proven me wrong in all aspects. He has gotten the Broncos some wins even if they have been ugly. As Al Davis would say Just Win Baby, and that is what Tim Tebow is doing. Many times we are so worried about numbers that we forget the bottom line is you have to win. Right now Tim Tebow seems to have that part down pretty good.

To illustrate how poor Tim Tebow was, I want to mention that he had a completion percentage of 25% under pressure. The Jets don't have a legit pass rusher, and that came back to bite them in the ass in a game that they should have won. As for Mark Sanchez, well, he ain't better under pressure either. In fact, he goes from being an average quarterback without pressure to one of the worst QBs when he is pressured. Uh, why do people call him the "Sanchize" again? The Broncos have Von Miller, and he's the best rookie this year if he people actually bother to watch him play and turn their backs to the Bengals and Cam Newton for a game. He and Brodrick Bunkley pretty much made this defense play at a high level, and even Nick Mangold had a poor game against Bunkley. That's pretty tough to do. Sanchez is honestly about as good as Matt Moore. Moore isn't quite as bad as people think, because he is actually a good quarterback when not under pressure. However, he might be a little worse than Sanchez under pressure. So Sanchez is really only a little bit better than Moore, and that still makes him disgustingly overrated. Seriously guys, save your praise for Daryl Smith.

I agree with your comments Joe, but the bottom line is Tebow has horrible numbers, but he is getting the Broncos wins. We both know that is all that matters to people and especially owners wins.
