Predicting the Playoffs in the LCS
October 9th 2008 01:31
This is going to be very hard at this point with the LCS. What I'm going to do is pick who I want to win the series and who I think will win. Why will I do it this way? Well, just because and there's nothing else I can go into the matter.
ALCS: Rays vs. Red Sox
Who I want to win: Rays honestly. It would be a nice change of pace and thinks the Red Sox need to be humbled a little bit. It's a story for this franchise and should they win it all, it would be something that is all I can say.
Who will win: Red Sox will win. The main key for this would be the fact that the Red Sox have the experience going in their favor. Tampa Bay doesn't have any experience in the post-season as this is really a huge factor. The rotation has experience and currently being the defending World Series champions.
NLCS: Phillies vs. Dodgers
Who I want to win: No major preference on this one. The National League isn't nearly as predictable as this one could go seriously either way. You got Charlie Manuel, who used to be apart of the Indians organization as the manager leading the Phillies to the NLCS and could see his 1st World Series appearance ever.
Who will win: The Dodgers I think will win by the skin of their teeth. It's going to be a good series and should be very competitive. The Phillies are a good team and can compete for a few more years and maybe get a chance to win it all. The only thing that I hope doesn't happen will be a complete sweep.
I wish I could pick a World Series winner for sure but I don't think I can do so. Perhaps once the LCS is over, I will make a pick for the World Series. I'm predicting this to happen: If it ends up being the Red Sox and Dodgers, I believe you will hear complaints about it being fixed just to get this match-up. Whether it is legit or not, that is another story.
