How about some baseball trivia?

What I thought would be interesting would be a “Who am I?” question, where we describe a ball player and see who can figure it out. (Like if I said WHO AM I? I was sold from the Red Sox to the Yankees and became the greatest home run hitter of all time, until Hank Aaron came along. The answer of course would be Babe Ruth. But they won’t be so easy).
Feel free to post any answers, or at least a comment that said you enjoy looking. There will be no prizes, no grand awards, it’s all in fun, but if this seems to keep our readers interested we might keep this as a regular feature. We’ll see how it goes, and I’ll post the answer next Monday.
I know quizzes aren't really typical blog materials, but really, what is? This is a good way to learn about some players and people though.
So here is the first of hopefully many:
Though primarily known as a manager, I had a stellar playing career. I was named to the All-Star game nine times, and led the league in batting and RBIs once. One season I was able to call Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, Felipe Alou, Sandy Alomar, Frank Thomas and Phil Niekro my teammates.
