Dale Sveum To Be New Cubs Manager A Good Choice
November 17th 2011 20:43
The Chicago Cubs offered their manager job to Dale Sveum and of course he accepted. For the Cubs they needed a guy that could get the whole team on the same page and Sveum is a good choice in my opinion. I felt Sveum should have been the Milwaukee Brewers manager a number of times, but never got the job. He is an excellence choice and should do a fine job as Cubs manager.
There is one thing for sure he will have his work cut out for him. He understands the division very well being a Brewers coach and will have the Cubs playing hard every day. Sveum, a switch-hitting shortstop, played 12 seasons with the Brewers and six other teams. He had a 25-homer season before his career was slowed after an outfield collision. Hopefully, he can get the Cubs going in the right direction. I am pulling for Sveum as he is a good guy who has very little experience as a manager, but still a good choice.
